We all yawn, but scientists still don’t know exactly why we do it.

You might yawn after lunch or in class, even if you're not sleepy. Strange, right?

Ever seen someone yawn and suddenly you feel like yawning too? It happens to everyone.

Some scientists think yawning helps cool your brain and keep it sharp, especially when it’s feeling tired.

Yawning could also help bring in more oxygen to your lungs, which your body might need.

Yawning might mean you're bored, like during a long meeting or after a heavy lunch, or just need a little refresh.

Even animals like elephants, dogs, and monkeys yawn too!

Though we know a lot, scientists are still figuring out exactly why yawning happens. But don’t worry, it’s completely normal!
